Rum is a very cheerful esk, full of love and curiosity. Before he became abnormal he was irritable and bothered by a lot of things, but now he is much more calm. His years of meditation and observing insects taught him patience and wonder, and he is instant friends with many esks now.

His favorite things to do are, to meditate, Watch bugs, sit in the sun, search for hiding places.

If you startle him out of meditation, or sneak up on him, it will trigger his ravaging growth, causing his cottonwood fluff to explode around him.

He was originally a moth, transformed into an esk by Vetru during the Firestorm event, and then later on, transformed into an abnormal by Ayla.

grassy root hollow
in a vast prarie somewhere, a little clump of trees clusters around a watering hole. Under the roots of one is hidden a small hollow, a cave of sorts. This is Rum's home. Here is where he stores all his treasures, and where he invites friends if they're small enough to join him.
