Originally a pet rock, it was accidentally left among the other stones in a zen garden on a beach. A place of relaxation and calm, the rock absorbed the serenity of the people who often stopped by, raking the sand quietly with little tools, and lining the rocks up in careful little rows. 

While exploring, Pia happened upon the little zen garden, and one stone seemed to stand out to her. It was the pet rock, who had absorbed a noticeable amount of zen, as it were...lol. Feeling the peace within the rock, Pia transformed it into an esk.

As an esk, Zen is very quiet and reserved. She tiptoes or hopes along the beach, and explores far and wide, often unseen or unnoticed by others. When resting, or while frightened, she will hide under her ravaging growth moss, which can envelop her completely.

She is rarely without her little trail of elemental stones that follow her everywhere.
